The final night of my 3 night straight extravaganza with Thrice and Brand New was just about as good as last night. Some more Your Favorite Weapon material, and a very energetic set overall. I was up on the upper level tonight watching, rather than in the pit like I've been for just about every show in my life. It's a weird perspective, but definitely very cool as well.

If you had told me the other day that I'd see Jude Law, Mix Tape, and Seventy Times Seven I'd laugh at you. If you'd told me I'd see two of them one night, and then all three the very next, I'd think you were crazy. But alas, it happened. Jackpot.

No Arsonist tonight, or Talking Through Glass like we got last night, but still a very cool set. I'm growing very fond of the reworked version of A Song for Milly Michaelson. More electric and all. I came in getting ready to sing along to All the World is Mad, since they often open with that lately, but they threw a curveball. I still love the part in Of Dust and Nations where Teppei taps the notes out by himself before the rest of the band joins back in. Beggars stuff, again, sounds phenomenal live.
Any questions, etc, go on.

Jesse asked how many people were at the Orlando show the night before, and a sizable chunk of the crowd screamed, and then asked how many are going the to the next night in Orlando again, and again people screamed. He talked to the guys and then said they were going to play some old stuff so we don't hear the same thing each night. Thus, Jude Law and Seventy Times Seven.
Setlist was pretty close to Orlando save for that. They left off Quiet Things and In a Jar. Added Welcome to Bangkok, Jude Law, and Seventy Times Seven.
Thrice also covered Helter Skelter, and their setlist was mainly the same as last night.
I remember them playing
All the World is Mad
The Weight
Of Dust and Nations
Song for Milly Michaelson
Talking Through Glass
Silhouette
The Arsonist
Helter Skelter
In Exile
Beggars
No Doublespeak, like they have been playing recently. Talking Through Glass was played for the first time live, also.

The floating continent of Reial has been divided by war and strife for hundreds of years. To the east, the refined, powerful nation of Ivona. To the west, the loose confederacy of Vohemar, formed by the struggle between Ivona and those who would not be ruled by someone from half a world away. And in between them, the Badlands mountains loom high, separating the two squabbling nations with its monster-infested peaks and deserts. The Badlands have been the battleground for these two powers for centuries and Joseph Falls-a revolutionary to some, a rabble-rouser and troublemaker to others-has called for the Badlands to unite and toss off the yoke of both Vohemaro and Ivonian colonialism. And underneath the surface there’s Denouement, an organization whose ends are mysterious, but whose presence has been felt across the continent. They are responsible for terrorizing the ground and air with bombs and kidnappings, the assassination for the old Ivonian president, and some suspect they might have ties to the revolutionary Falls. Everyone is always recruiting, whether they be Vohemaro, Ivonian, Badlands or independent-or even Denouement-but do not think their motives only run skin deep. Through it all, the people of this world sail the skies, trying to survive the turbulent times. Pirates, soldiers, merchants, thieves, actors, mercenaries, mad scientists, all of them united, despite their disparate views and allegiances, in wanting something better for themselves. Choose a ship, declare your loyalty, and fight alongside your crew to make your dreams a reality. | ||
